About this converter
Turning a PDF into pictures is useful when something will not take a PDF at all — a social post, a messaging app, a website upload that only accepts images. It is also the quickest way to get one page in front of someone without sending the whole document.
PNG keeps text and line art crisp and produces larger files. JPG is much smaller and suits pages that are mostly photographs. If in doubt, JPG at the "Good" setting is the right answer for anything being read on a screen.
A single page comes back as one picture. Ask for several and they arrive together in a zip.

Which detail setting should I choose?
Good, for anything read on a screen. Print only if it is going on paper, since the files get large. Screen is for thumbnails and previews.
Can I still select the text afterwards?
No. A picture of a page is just pixels — the text becomes part of the image. Use Read Text from a Scan if you need the words.
Do my PDFs get sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your own device, so your documents never leave it. That matters more than usual for PDFs, which tend to be contracts, statements and scans.
Does it work with password-protected files?
Not yet. A protected PDF has to be unlocked with its password first.
